Welcome to the world of Baransu.

This series is inspired by "Balance", or Baransu in Japanese
To create meaningful art, we at Àrsa look to the past for inspiration. Our artwork is rooted in the old and forgotten, be it an art form, culture, or philosophy. This series finds its inspiration in one such ancient Japanese philosophy called Nagomi. The concept of Nagomi entails a way of bringing together life's diverse elements and making them work harmoniously. It conveys a sense of peace, emotional balance, and well-being. True to that, this series attempts to turn mismatched elements into a congruous yet contradictory assemblance. The use of warm earthy hues in bold contrasts is intentional in emphasising the concept of divergence while remaining aesthetically pleasing. The intention behind this series was to create something antithetical to our lifestyle of stress and disorder; to create art that infuses a sense of symmetry and centeredness, to lull the mind into a calm reflective state, and to transform any space into a cocoon of warmth and stillness.
